Meet Jazz

Photographer Jaslyn Kwayu

I was given my name to represent my family’s musical roots. But over time (Jazz) became a representation of my spark and unique style. Whether it’s my giggly fro babies or my incredibly lucky husband, I strive to love as hard as I can.

Who I Am

My grandpa put a professional camera in my hand 12 years ago and I haven’t put it down since. When I got a job taking in-hospital newborn photos, I felt like there was more I could do to show moms how beautiful they are and make their experience unforgettable.

…it made me feel like ME again.

“After I had my daughter, I was asked to walk in a show two months postpartum. Modeling wasn’t new for me but I was terrified! I wandered if my new body would look “good enough”… and if I would leak (haha). But getting all dolled up, wearing those gowns, it made me feel like ME again. I just wanna share that feeling with every mom I can.” ~Jazz

My Approach

I HAVE HEARD ALL THE EXCUSES:
“I’M NOT PHOTOGENIC.”
“I’M NOT PRETTY ENOUGH.”
“I JUST NEED TO LOSE X AMOUNT OF WEIGHT.”

Trust me I know, I am hard on myself at times. I had to learn to value myself too. I had all the same excuses. I am here to tell you that you are ENOUGH! You are fearfully and wonderfully made! God’s masterpiece. I want you to be just as God has created you to be. Embrace your uniqueness!
